Dr. Rancic is originally from Burr Ridge, Illinois. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree majoring in Biology with honors from Augustana College in Rock Island, IL. He went on to earn his Doctor of Optometry degree from the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago, graduating Magna Cum Laude. While in optometry school, he was inducted into the Beta Sigma Kappa Honor Society and the Tomb & Key National Honor Society based on his service to the community and high academic standing.

While studying optometry at ICO and during various externship rotations at medical facilities and private practices nationwide, he was able to learn valuable real-world skills that he can fully utilize while seeing his patients. On his rotations, he worked alongside both optometrists and ophthalmologists while at the Edward Hines, Jr. VA Hospital / Loyola University Medical Center in Illinois, and Associated Eye Care clinics in eastern Minnesota and western Wisconsin. During his time at these facilities, he was able to concentrate on the management of ocular disease, Lasik and Cataract pre and post operative management, and low vision. Also, while performing a rotation at a MyEyeDr clinic in Tallahassee, FL, he was able to gain experience in not only general optometric care, but also in contact lenses. He looks to use his experiences in these areas of optometry to give his patients the best care possible on a comprehensive level.

Doctor Rancic is excited to be an active member of the community in Red Wing through a career he pursued so that he can get to know his patients on a personal level, and have a direct impact in their lives. When he is not in clinic, he enjoys participating in a variety of outdoor sports and activities.
